IaaS
Case study: transition of the client’s IT infrastructure to IaaS – abandoning obsolete solutions in favor of outsourcing
This case shows the successful transition of an e-commerce company from an outdated IT infrastructure (IBM servers) to a modern IaaS solution (HPE, VMware vSAN). The client got rid of difficult-to-maintain and expensive hardware, received fault-tolerant solution with flexible scaling and transferred IT costs from CAPEX to a transparent OPEX model. The implementation took 3 months with a smooth transfer of services without stopping the business.
Benefits of selecting infrastructure as a service
Renting a virtual server infrastructure in the cloud using the IaaS model is a profitable way to obtain IT resources with payment only for the volumes consumed. The hardware and software are owned by the data center, and the lessee uses an external cloud, installing any applications and software on it and managing resources.
